# Sudden stroke signs? Call 112 in Romania.

If this is happening now, call 112 in Romania before using the list or checklist.

If one side of the face suddenly droops, an arm weakens or speech becomes unclear, call 112 in Romania. Do not wait for every sign.

## What to tell the dispatcher

- **Where is the person?** Give the full address, entrance, floor and a nearby landmark.
- **What changed?** Describe the sudden signs and when you first noticed them.
- **When were they last seen well?** If you do not know the time, say so. Do not delay the call to find out.

Answer the dispatcher’s questions and follow their instructions.

## Signs that can appear suddenly

A person’s face, an arm or leg, speech or understanding may change. Sudden problems with vision, walking or balance, confusion, or a very severe headache with no known cause can also be warning signs.

- **Face:** One side may droop or a smile may become uneven.
- **Arm or leg:** Sudden weakness or numbness may affect one side of the body.
- **Speech and understanding:** Words may become slurred; the person may find it hard to speak or understand.
- **Walking and balance:** Sudden dizziness, unsteady walking, loss of balance or coordination may occur.
- **Vision:** A sudden problem may affect sight in one or both eyes.
- **Other sudden changes:** Confusion or a very severe headache with no known cause may occur.

Signs can happen together or separately. If they stop, still get help straight away.

## Hospitals named on the thrombectomy list

Romania’s Ministry of Health Order 450/2015, Article 24(c), names units included in the AP-AVCAc national priority programme for “Trombectomie/Tromboplastie” (thrombectomy/thromboplasty). This list keeps the numbering used in the order.

The act numbers 14 positions under point (c); position 7 is repealed. That leaves 13 named units.

1. **Spitalul Universitar de Urgență București** — Bucharest, Romania’s capital
2. **Spitalul Clinic Județean de Urgență Târgu Mureș** — Târgu Mureș, in central Romania

This is a legal programme list, not a live rota or capacity directory, and it does not show where a particular person will be taken. If signs appear, call 112 before using this list.

Article 24(a) is a separate list for intravenous fibrinolysis. For example, Order 1,717/2025 adds Rădăuți Municipal Hospital to point (a), not to the thrombectomy list at point (c).
