# Integrity mapping: from EU funds to public procurement

Follow the money trail from MySMIS EU projects to SICAP tenders and Court of Accounts audit findings.

## 1. Identify project and funding stream

Locate the European funding contract in MySMIS, recording SMIS code, project title, eligible budget and authorized beneficiary.

## 2. Find associated procurement tenders

Search SICAP by SMIS contract reference or authority name to inspect procurement tenders, technical specifications and contract awards.

## 3. Cross-examine expenses with audit findings

Examine Court of Accounts reports for the beneficiary body to identify award irregularities, applied financial corrections or milestone delays.

## Caution

Contracted values in EU projects do not represent final absorption. Funds disburse only against validated payment claims, and audit corrections can drastically reduce net paid amounts.
