# Can you stop at exactly one second?

Start the hidden timer in the HTML edition, then stop it when you think exactly 1,000 milliseconds have passed. The game keeps five attempts, shows every miss, and calculates the average, best attempt, and average direction.

## How it works

1. The first press starts the timer and removes every visual cue.
2. The second press stops the timer.
3. The page shows the interval and its distance from the target.
4. After five attempts, the results appear together on a photo-finish strip.

## What enters the score

We calculate the interval between two activations of the same button. The result includes your timing, screen, keyboard or touch latency, and whatever work the browser is doing at that moment.

Average miss uses each attempt's distance from the target. Average direction keeps the sign and shows whether the series leaned early or late. The game describes these five presses on this device.
