- 1938: 10 ținuturi, four of them with a second recorded name.
- 1960–1968: 16 regions, an approximate reconstruction.
- Today: 41 counties and Bucharest, 238,393 km².
- The raioane of every region, 1950–1968: a directory of names, with no geometry.
