# The temperature at which water boils, by altitude

In London, at 11 metres, water boils at 100.0 °C. In Bucharest, at 85 metres, it boils at 99.7 °C. On Omu Peak in Romania, at 2,505 metres, it boils at 91.7 °C. On Everest, at 8,848 metres, it boils at 70.3 °C.

The temperature is calculated at standard atmospheric pressure, from the pressure of the place (ISO 2533 standard atmosphere) and the Antoine equation for water (NIST constants). The honest margin is ±0.5 °C.
