# Aceeași rachetă, trei nume, după cine o lansează

Harpoon are un singur corp, un singur cap de rachetă, un singur radar de urmărire.
Armata americană îi dă totuși trei coduri diferite: AGM-84 când pleacă dintr-un avion,
RGM-84 când pleacă de pe o navă, UGM-84 când pleacă dintr-un submarin. Litera se
schimbă cu locul de lansare, nu cu arma. E o regulă în vigoare neîntrerupt din 1963,
cu 315 de coduri active azi — iar în martie 2025 a primit prima literă nouă de la
sfârșitul anilor 1980 încoace.

## O rachetă, trei nume

Codul unei rachete americane nu descrie arma. Descrie împrejurarea: de unde pleacă, ce
ținte lovește, ce fel de obiect e. Cu numărul de proiect 84, registrul înregistrează
nouă coduri diferite pentru familia Harpoon: AGM-84, RGM-84, UGM-84, ATM-84, CATM-84,
DATM-84, NAEM-84, RTM-84 și UTM-84.

Tomahawk urmează același tipar, cu o excepție: varianta terestră ar fi trebuit să fie
MGM-109G, dar a rămas BGM-109G — litera pe care Marina o folosea deja pentru toată
familia, niciodată corectată.

Codul are exact trei litere plus un număr de proiect, în ordinea: mediul de lansare,
misiunea, tipul vehiculului. Un prefix opțional arată dacă racheta e experimentală,
captivă sau doar o machetă inertă de antrenament.

Din cele 14 litere de misiune, una singură e nouă: H, pentru „viteză mare,
hipersonică”. Un memorandum din 25 martie 2025 a adăugat misiunea, dar nu spune ce
literă o desemnează — H se deduce dintr-un singur exemplu real, AHM-4A, racheta HACM.

## De la haos la trei litere

Înainte de 1963, fiecare armă avea propriul registru. Racheta Sparrow a Marinei a fost
întâi AAM-N-2, apoi AIM-101 la Forțele Aeriene — coduri fără nicio legătură între ele
pentru aceeași armă.

- **11 decembrie 1962** — Directiva 4000.20 cere un registru comun.
- **27 iunie 1963** — noul sistem intră în vigoare; Minuteman devine SM-80 → LGM-30.
- **1969** — se adaugă litera F (un singur soldat).
- **1976** — se adaugă litera G (lansare de pe pistă).
- **1978–1986** — se adaugă prefixele C (captivă) și D (machetă inertă de antrenament).
- **1988–1989** — cea mai mare extindere: vehiculele spațiale.
- **1993** — prefixul M (întreținere) iese din uz.
- **1997** — dronele reutilizabile trec în seria Q a avioanelor.
- **3 noiembrie 2020** — Instrucțiunea 16-401 a Departamentului Forțelor Aeriene.
- **25 martie 2025** — memorandumul care adaugă misiunea hipersonică.

## Ciudățeniile registrului

AIM-424 sare de la seria 260 la 424 fără explicație. MIM-147A reapare pentru o
rachetă neidentificată. RIM-35 n-a existat niciodată — legenda vine dintr-un proiect
de dronă complet diferit. Seria sateliților sare peste numărul 13, din superstiție.
