About the years
For buildings, the year is the inauguration or the completion of the construction in today's form. The Triumphal Arch, for instance, had earlier provisional versions in wood and plaster (the last from 1922); the stone one is from 1936. For the People's House it's the year construction began, since the works were never quite finished.
