Where the name comes from
Named after the Royal Botanic Gardens, known as Kew Gardens. Kew, recorded in 1327 as Cayho, combines Old French kai, landing place, and Old English hoh, spur of land.
Worth knowing: Viscose was first developed into rayon in a laboratory near the station.
