Where the name comes from
Named after the district of Northfields, with Little Ealing added in 1911. The district takes its name from Great and Little Northfields, two large fields in the far west of Ealing parish in the late Middle Ages. The station opened as Northfield (Ealing) in 1908 and took its current name, Northfields, when it was rebuilt in 1932.
