Where the name comes from
Named after the nearby Ravenscourt Park; the station took the name in 1888, before the park opened to the public. In 1747 the manor house was sold to Thomas Corbett, who named it Ravenscourt, probably after the raven on his coat of arms, a pun on his name (corbeau is French for raven).
