The monasteries, one by one
Voroneț UNESCO 1993
- Stephen the Great's foundation, raised in 1488 in 3 months and 3 weeks (26 May – 14 September).
- Interior painted in 1496; exterior from the Petru Rares era (1547), with the famous intense blue.
- St George church; part of the Churches of Moldavia, UNESCO.
Visiting: No visiting hours published. Services: Mon–Sat Liturgy 7:30, Vespers 16:00; Sun 8:30. During services the interior is for worshippers.
Humor UNESCO 1993
- Church of the Assumption; monastery predating 1415, present church from 1530 (logothete Toader Bubuiog, with Petru Rares's support).
- Dissolved in 1786; notable: Virgin Platytera on the narthex vault and the Last Judgment.
- Part of the Churches of Moldavia, UNESCO.

Moldovița UNESCO 1993
- Rebuilt in 1532 and painted in 1537 by Petru Rares; Annunciation church.
- Fortified enclosure; part of the Churches of Moldavia, UNESCO.
- At Vatra Moldovitei, on the road between Humor and Sucevita.

Sucevița UNESCO 1993
- Late 16th century; stone church by Gheorghe Movila, paid by the Movilesti family.
- Fortress-like: fortified enclosure, princely houses, cells + museum of religious art (15th–16th c.).
- The best-preserved exterior in the group (the official site's claim); UNESCO.
Visiting: Open daily 7:00–21:00; museum 9:00–17:00. Liturgy Sun/Sat 9:30–12:00, otherwise 7:30–9:00.
Arbore UNESCO 1993
- 1503, foundation of hetman Luca Arbore (buried here, 1522); dedicated to the Beheading of St John the Baptist.
- The Arbore family appears twice in the votive painting.
- Part of the Churches of Moldavia, UNESCO; a small church — a short visit.

Patrauti (1487, Stephen the Great), Probota (1531, Petru Rares) and Suceava (St George, 1514–1522) are also UNESCO-listed — all near Suceava.

Bases
Gura Humorului (near Voronet and Humor) or Suceava (35.5 km / 46 min to Gura Humorului; 41.7 km / 48 min to Arbore). Radauti is the base for Sucevita.
Services
At Voronet and Sucevita the morning services (7:30–9:00 on weekdays, longer on Sundays) close the interior to tourists; the exterior frescoes are viewable anytime.
Money
No monastery publishes tariffs online. Ask on site before entering.
Routes
The legs above are road-measured, not estimated. The Sucevita museum (9:00–17:00) is the only fixed slot in the loop.

One full day covers the southern loop from Gura Humorului (Voronet, Humor, Moldovita, Sucevita). Two days if you add Arbore and the other 3 UNESCO churches (Patrauti, Probota, Suceava).

Voronet (the blue, 6.1 km from Gura Humorului), Humor (11.5 km further on) and Sucevita (the largest ensemble + museum 9:00–17:00).
How much is entry?
No monastery publishes tariffs online — ask on site. Tour operators mention small fees, but we could not verify them at the source.
When to avoid the interior?
During services: at Voronet Liturgy starts 7:30 (weekdays) / 8:30 (Sundays); at Sucevita 7:30–9:00 on weekdays and 9:30–12:00 Saturdays/Sundays. The exterior is viewable anytime.
Where to stay?
Gura Humorului for the southern loop, Suceava for Arbore and the other 3 (35.5 km / 46 min apart, measured), Radauti for Sucevita.
Is the Arbore detour worth it?
17 km / 26 min from Sucevita (measured), for Luca Arbore's small 1503 church. Yes with 2 days; no with only half a day.
