An eight-pair game

Same tile or mirror?

Two ceramic tiles, one possibly flipped. Look closely and call it: do they match, or is one the mirror image of the other?

Eight pairs, in the same order for everyone. Your calls stay on this page and vanish on reload.

Pair 1 of 8

From the keyboard: 1 for Same, 2 for Mirror, Enter for the next pair.

How to read the tiles

The mirror hides. Deduce it.

Each tile is made of five squares. A flipped tile never lies flat on the original, no matter how you turn it. The eight pairs come in the same order for everyone, four matching and four mirrored, with angles chosen so some look obvious and others make you think.

The score mixes eyes, screen, attention, and luck on 50/50 calls. It is a parlour game, not a vision test, and says nothing about your eyes in general.
