Where the name comes from
Possibly inspired by the Baronscourt estate of the Earls of Abercorn in County Tyrone, Northern Ireland, with which Sir William Palliser, who built part of the area and owned the station's land, may have had connections.
Worth knowing: Its platform benches, with the station name on enamelled panels, are unique on the Underground.
