The official AMP ticket page (checked 1 Nov 2026) says online sales are temporarily suspended because of technical problems and tickets are currently sold on-site only. The planning page warns on-site availability may be limited, while general ticket guidance still describes online booking within the final 10 days. Call +40 268 471 202 before travelling to confirm availability.

The FAQ gives the classic tour as about 1 hour and lists 9:45 and 11:00; the planning page estimates Brașov–Zărnești via DN73A at about 27 km/45 min.

pcrai.ro/reguli-vizitare (fetched 18.09.2026, 200): map/difficulty, the administration and Salvamont, no motors, rubbish with you, marked trails, photographed flowers, quiet, designated camping, food off the tent at 2 meters, see the bear first, signs (scat, stones, logs, anthills, diggings), hearths, refuges. The administration is a Romsilva subunit with legal personality (self-declared).

The mmediu.ro release (10.04.2025): 25 counties, 24,000 samples, the Marin Drăcea lab, 95% confidence, 10,419–12,770 specimens, the minister's 'first solid basis / previously controversial'. 'Preliminary' as written.

ampbears.ro: now pills ads, abandoned. libearty.ro: no longer resolves. ursulbrunsinoi.ro (the MMAP bear-project site): gone. Romsilva search yielded no usable guide. Face-to-face meetings: no primary protocol, unwritten.

Nominatim + OSRM driving (18.09.2026): Brașov–Zărnești 34.6 km/~39 min as a separate route-engine estimate and Zărnești–Bran 9.2 km/~14 min. The sanctuary’s current plan page estimates Brașov–Zărnești via DN73A at ~27 km/~45 min; the itinerary uses the operator’s estimate and adds time for traffic, parking and entry. The Plaiul Foii saddle toponym remains unresolved (Bucharest street collision), so that leg was dropped.
