This page tells only what the captured sources pin down: every day carries at least one archival/primary citation; totals always come paired (contemporary position vs. official count), six distinct accountings, each with source and scope; 24 December has no hour-by-hour record and stays empty; the unverified “free city” text is omitted; photographs without clear rights are not published.

D1 · PÎCCJ April 2019 releases (captured 2026-09-18, 200)

The indictment release (8 Apr): indictment 11/P/2014 (5.04.2019, 12 vols/3280 pages, a 3330-vol file, 2030 vols gathered after 13.06.2016); defendants Iliescu, Voiculescu, Gen. Rus, crimes against humanity (art. 439); from 16:00 on the 22nd, the whole military under the CFSN; the diversions in the evening; after the 22nd: 862 dead, 2,150 wounded, hundreds gravely deprived of liberty; Otopeni 48 (40 soldiers ＋ 8 civilians) ＋ 15 gravely; the cockade order on the 23rd; the Ceaușescu interval 16.12–22.12 (12:06); the repression 17–22.12 (12:00); “a simulated criminal trial”; declassified Senate transcripts, CNSAS cooperating. The prosecutor-general's statement (8 Apr): 12 volumes, 3280 pages, 3330 volumes; individual, not institutional, responsibility.

D2 · ECHR press release, 24.05.2011 (captured 2026-09-18, 200)

Association “21 December 1989” v. Romania (33810/07, 18817/08): breach of Article 2 (the investigation into the Vlases' son's death) and Article 8 (surveillance); the authorities' 2008 indications: over 1,200 dead, over 5,000 injured, thousands unlawfully detained; the main file 97/P/1990 (July 1990); over a hundred later applications; general measures required.

D3 · Presidential Commission Final Report (captured 2026-09-18, 200)

The December passage: the broken rally, the televised shock, the 21st-night barricade and massacre in University Square, the blocked streets and CC storming on the 22nd, the rooftop helicopter (bound for the Snagov villa, see the Mănescu entry), the same-day arrest, the “mock trial” and execution in the Târgoviște barracks on the 25th; “the only Eastern country with dead and wounded”: 1,104 — 162 before the 22nd, 942 between 22–27. The Tőkés case, note 14: Mioc 2002 (court ＋ parish archives).

D4 · IICCMER Chronology of Communism (captured 2026-09-18, 200)

1989: 14 Dec, the Iași Union Square gathering repressed by the Securitate; 15 Dec, the first anti-regime demonstrations at Timișoara (a mass revolt within days, fire on demonstrators); 22 Dec, the helicopter flight from the CC, a power vacuum; 25 Dec, a “flash trial”, death sentences, execution. Plus the year's markers (Băcanu, Babeș, the Letter of Six, the Wall and the rest).

D5 · Helsinki Watch, Jan 1990 (captured 2026-09-18, 200)

The trial of the four (Postelnicu, Bobu, Dincă, Mănescu) for genocide: testimony limited to 17–22 Dec; the indictment: at least 689 dead, well over 1,200 wounded, unproven; the 17 Dec CPEx before Iran, 22,000 Guards to Timișoara; Bobu at Timișoara on the 20th, failure, 57 dead, the cremation proposal; the 21st night, Postelnicu and Dincă in the streets (“firm measures”); the emergency CPEx on the 22nd; the trial of the 21 Securitate officers, opened at Timișoara.

D6 · The Memorial's studies, 2 PDFs (captured 2026-09-18, 200)

“Prosecutors vs. the repression”: Diaconescu at Timișoara on the morning of the 17th; on the 18th, the prosecutors at the morgue, 46 forensic death reports, interrogations under way; on the 19th, interrogations at the prison and the militia; on the 20th, the files seized by the militia. Material: the prosecutors' statements, Feb 1990. “The revolution in the Hungarian and German media”: the Hungarian dailies put the first charge at over 60,000 killed (wartime reporting).

D7 · The broadcast transcript ＋ decrees and resolutions

The transcript (Wikisource EN, captured 2026-09-18, 200): Târgoviște base, 25 Dec 1989; genocide (356), armed attack (163), destruction and undermining (165, 145); prosecution: death ＋ total confiscation; “I will only answer before the Grand National Assembly”; the verdict on television. The full amnesty (CSIC archive, captured 2026-09-18, 200): Decree-Law 3/4.01.1990, M.Of. 2/5.01.1990, political crimes since 30.12.1947, acts up to 22.12 inclusive, signed Iliescu. The abolition (articles quoted in RRID, captured 2026-09-18, 200): Decree-Law 6/7.01.1990, death → life imprisonment. Decree-Law 2: published 27.12.1989 (two law papers: one captured in full for substance — art. 10, the mini-constitution — one indexed for number and date). EP resolution 2019/2989 (official page, scripts blocked, browsers fine): 19.12.2019, “the most violent”, 760＋ tortured.

D8 · Visiting the Memorial ＋ what is missing

The address (3–5 Popa Șapcă, entrance 2B Oituz), hours (Mon–Fri 08–17, Sat–Sun 10–18), phones (0786 237 369), mission — the Memorial's site (captured 2026-09-18, 200). Missing: the “free city” text; the per-city toll; the 24th's hours; photographs (Fototeca and the Memorial albums, rights unclear); the other, unverified takeoff time (this page keeps the indictment's 12:06); 1,142/3,136 (press from official statistics, full text uncaptured).
