D1 · The Comtrade Romania-reported series (captured 2026-09-18, 200 × 60)
Reporter 642, partner 156, TOTAL, partner2 0, mot 0: imports and exports for 1995–2024, 30 years × two flows, in research/raw/ct-series.json, verified one by one by the build script. 1995: $179m exported above $90m imported (the only surplus); 2008: $3,506m imported (＋53% on the year); 2009: $2,647m; 2020: $5,745m (above $5,095m in 2019); 2024: $8,509m imported, $780m exported, a $7,729m deficit. Current USD, Comtrade's own unit.

The 2022–24 comparison: China's exports to Romania sit 5.8–9.7% above Romania's imports from China; China's imports from Romania run 2.7–5.3× Romania's exports to China.
