Where the name comes from
Named after Heathrow Airport's Terminal 4, which it was built to serve; it opened in 1986 on a new loop tunnel. The airport was called London Airport until 1966.
Worth knowing: It has a single platform and is the only Underground station where trains run in one direction only.
