Sibling: logistics to the Delta logistics page

Birds fly: windows are BirdLife-sense, sightings never promised. Count vintage 1990–2006, expired, so this page writes no headcounts.

Method & sources

D1 · BirdLife

DataZone site 24400 (Danube Delta, RO081, Romania, 200, fetched 2026-09-18): 5156 km², 84 qualifying species, 2007 assessment, 99.76% protection coverage. The qualifying-species endpoint returns 90 population records (breeding/passage/winter); the 1990–2006 count vintage has expired — cards show windows only, no headcounts; IBA codes quoted verbatim (C1 = global, assessment-vintage sense), no unverified glosses. The rule of 24: full-year coverage + signatures, recorded here, not from BirdLife.

D2 · Official routes

The ddbra.ro routes page (fetched 2026-09-18, 200, dated 2021-06-16): 24 official routes, 15 water (1–15) + 9 land (D1–D9), endpoints quoted verbatim. Card corridors (lakes/lagoons/forest/flats) grouped from endpoints; species–habitat matching is public ornithology, not BirdLife points — spots from guides. Re-check before departure.

D3 · Visiting rules

ARBDD visitor Q&A (September 2026 PDF, fetched 2026-09-18): permit channels (online/SelfPay/info centers/SMS TUR1, TUR7, TURAN), ORD 610/2009; free permits for children, pupils, students, pensioners; the tent and parking bans (Q8–9); ANPA fishing permits invalid in the reserve. The permit, routes, and tents rules traceable line by line.

D4 · SOR

SOR = the BirdLife Romania partner (BirdLife partners page, fetched 2026-09-18): field conservation for the red-breasted goose, Dalmatian pelican and others, plus the International Waterbird Count. sor.ro 403s automated reads, the conduct code uncaught, the playback rule marked as missing; playback/distances straight from SOR or guides.

D5 · Sibling page

The Delta logistics page (permits + boats, with a Chinese edition): mutual links, separate subjects. Any timetable, fare, or lodging here is overreach — flag it.

D6 · What we did not write (recorded)

Headcounts and peak days; the full species inventory; camera-gear advice; rarity-chasing framing; population trends; the playback-ban text; booking schedules.

License

The season wheel, sorter logic, and trip plans are original; species data and rules link their sources. Statutes and routes are vintages, not field guarantees.
