Questions workers ask

My employer deducts more than 25% of my net salary for accommodation.

Current WorkinRomania guidance states that if the employer provides accommodation, rent may not exceed 25% of the worker’s net salary/net remuneration. If your figures are comparable and the charge is above that amount, preserve the evidence and seek advice; our calculator can confirm the arithmetic but cannot decide every legal fact about the arrangement.

Boundary: The numerical ceiling is not an “all clear”; other legal, contractual and factual issues can still matter.

What to do next

  1. Enter the actual net salary and accommodation charge in the calculator.
  2. Keep payslips, rent/deduction records and the accommodation clause.
  3. Confirm whether the accommodation is in fact being provided by the employer.
