Visiting
Romania's smallest national park by area, but with a spectacular karst landscape — limestone ridges, towers, spires — topped by Vânturărița Mare peak (1,885 m). Bistrița Gorge shelters the Cave of St. Grigore Decapolitul, a historic monument with a protected bat colony.
