Visiting
A UNESCO Global Geopark (since 2004–2005), on the former "Hațeg Island" in the Tethys Sea, famous for the dwarf dinosaurs discovered here and for the Hatzegopteryx pterosaur. Themed visitor houses at Sânpetru, Densuș and General Berthelot.
