Visiting
Romania's highest limestone ridge, 25 km long, with La Om peak (2,238 m) as its high point, vertical walls, and spectacular gorges — Zărnești Gorge (3.9 km) and Dâmbovicioara Gorge (2.4 km, with the 555 m cave of the same name). Home to brown bear, wolf and lynx.
