D1 · Bridge (Wikivoyage guide ＋ Wikipedia phonology, fetched 2026-09-18, 200)
The IPA of each of the 41 rows agrees across both sources: 7 vowels (a e i o u ă â/î), consonants (including c/g before e/i, hard ch/gh, x＝ks, y＝j), ea/oa gliding in one syllable, final -i shadow (the București example), initial e- [je] in este/eu. Minor notation differences (Wikivoyage's ä/e̞/o̞) are variants of the same phonemes and are not carried over.
D2 · Phrases (Wikivoyage phrasebook ＋ Omniglot, fetched 2026-09-18, 200)
All 120 phrases match the originals in the published phrasebooks: greetings and numbers in both, the rest across Wikivoyage scenes. One side kept from each slash pair (trenul, not autobuzul; the Chinese nationality), brackets filled per the manual's sense (Nu vorbesc bine), old spellings corrected per the dictionary (costă, făcut, dumneavoastră). The two Chinese-nationality phrases use the manual's own nationality slot; the two gender pairs (-ă) follow the dictionary paradigm.
D3 · Spelling & stress (dexonline, word-by-word, 2026-09-18, 200)
All 190 distinct words resolve in dexonline (including inflections: rog is 1st person of ruga, numiți 2nd plural of numi, etc.); rejected words (regional Servus, obsolete traveler's checks, vocabulary past the survival line) were dropped, not rewritten. Stress follows the manuals' capitalized English respellings ＋ dictionary accents, marked in the readings with the 4th tone.
D4 · How the Chinese glosses were set
Each Chinese gloss was checked against the dictionary sense and the manual's English gloss. The same word carries one gloss everywhere (cameră is always “房间”), kept consistent across the pack.
D5 · What was left out
One ungrammatical manual sentence (Exista in camere…) left out; the bar/driving/colors sections exceed the 10 scenes; regional Servus left out (standard only); dish names left out (they live in the menu guide).
Licences
