Questions workers ask

The company name in my messages is different from the company in my contract.

That can have innocent explanations — a foreign recruiter, Romanian placement agency and actual employer can be different legal entities — but you need to map the chain. What matters is knowing who made each promise, who receives money, who is the Romanian employer and which entity appears in official records.

Boundary: This is a reading rule for this guide, not a statement of Romanian law. Matching documents only tells you that the documents agree; it does not prove that the job is safe or lawful.

What to do next

  1. Write each legal name in a simple chain: recruiter → placement agency → employer.
  2. Add country, registration/licence number and contact details.
  3. Check the origin-country agency in its official register and the Romanian actor in official sources where available.
