Questions workers ask

I am being paid less than the salary in my contract.

Treat this first as an evidence problem: compare the net salary stated in the offer/contract with payslips and bank payments, and identify every deduction. A mismatch between the contracted amount and the amount actually paid is something you can document even before its legal cause is resolved.

What to do next

  1. Keep payslips and bank statements.
  2. Ask for a written breakdown of deductions.
  3. Compare gross salary, net salary and overtime separately.
  4. For a labour-rights dispute, consult the Labour Inspectorate or qualified adviser.
