Where the name comes from
A place or district
Constantin Brâncoveanu Boulevard, named after the Wallachian prince (reigned 1688–1714).
The station is at the junction of Șoseaua Olteniței and Constantin Brâncoveanu Boulevard. Constantin Brâncoveanu ruled Wallachia from 1688 to 1714, one of the principality's longest reigns, a time of peace and cultural growth.

- It opened only in December 1988, almost three years after its section.
