Where the name comes from

The Laminorului area and street; the planned name was Laromet, after the industrial zone.
The station sits at the former Laromet tram terminus, in the industrial zone of the same name. Its planned name, Laromet, was changed to Laminorului after public consultation. 'Laminor' means a rolling mill.

- Opening, scheduled for 19 December 2016, was postponed for safety reasons until 31 March 2017.
