Favorit is one of the named subdivisions of Drumul Taberei. It held the Favorit shopping complex and the Favorit cinema, one of the largest in Bucharest, abandoned after 2000 and due to become a cultural centre. Whether the name came first from the cinema or the complex is not clear.
