Drumul Taberei Park (formerly Moghioroș); the district name ('Camp Road') is linked to Tudor Vladimirescu's 1821 pandur camp.
The station is named after the nearby park, laid out around the 1960s with the district and called Alexandru Moghioroș Park under communism. Tradition links the name 'Drumul Taberei' ('Camp Road') to Tudor Vladimirescu's 1821 pandur camp.
